Realcomp and CoreLogic are preparing to upgrade the RCO3®/Matrix system to version 8.4 later in the month of June. This new version contains several significant improvements we believe will benefit Realcomp REALTORS®, including:
New Features
RCO3®/Matrix 8.4 features a more modern-looking and mobile-friendly email layout. These include the following four improvements:

Enhancements to RCO3®/Matrix emails in 8.4 include:
- Email Wrapper – Provides outer border and padding to all email messages sent from RCO3®/Matrix.
- Consistent Typeface – A more modern font is used throughout all emails, although agents’ email signatures may still use custom fonts.
- Mobile-Optimized Listing Details – A new display template provides a modern look and takes advantage of mobile-responsive features to ensure elegant email display on screens of all sizes.
- Calls to Action – Links to the Client Portal are more prominent.
2) Sort Order Indicators Added to Search Result Headers
Grid search results now display arrows in the column headers to indicate the sort order.
- The weight of the arrow (bold, semi-bold, or not bold) indicates the field's sort priority (primary, secondary, or tertiary).
- A down arrow indicates an alphabetical sort / smallest value first.
- An up arrow indicates a reverse-alphabetical sort / largest value first.
In the example below, the search results are first sorted by Type (alphabetical), then by Status (reverse-alphabetical), and then by Price (smallest value first).
3) New Map Location Warning Added to Add/Edit Module
In Add/Edit, an alert indicates if the geocoder cannot find a precise location for the listing address, prompting the user to check the address and/or manually place the map pin.
4) Map Utilizes Full Width of Browser
The map in the search results screen now extends the full width of the browser.
5) Map and Results Tabs Navigation Added to Concierge Approvals Screen
Users can now view listings on a map on the Concierge Approval screen.
6) Search the Intersection of Multiple Map Shapes
When multiple map shapes are drawn, the option to search just the intersection of those shapes is available. This is especially beneficial when paired with the INRIX Drive Time to locate listings within proximity of two different locations.
7) Single-Line Displays Remember Vertical Scroll Position
For single-line displays longer than one screen, Matrix now remembers the vertical scroll position when switching between displays. This eliminates the need to scroll back down to the desired row. The position is maintained when clicking the browser back button and when clicking the Single Line Display link.
8) New Search Results Button Bar and Paging Controls
The action tools at the bottom of Results pages have been updated to a more modern look, and the paging controls at the bottom of Results pages are now larger and thus easier to click.
9) New Icons throughout Search Module
New and larger map drawing tool icons have been added, and many icons elsewhere in the Search and Input modules have been updated for a cleaner appearance. Additionally, the per-field Help icon on search and input forms has been moved to the right of each field.
10) New Tooltips
Tooltips shown when hovering over an element now appear immediately and are easier to read.
11) “Refresh” Option Added to My Listings Widget on Home Page
12) Day Control Added to INRIX Drive Time™
A Day selector has been added to INRIX Drive Time allowing users to specify the day of the week used to determine drive time to or from a target location. This provides insight on how drive times vary from day to day.
13) Menu Bar Streamlined, Tab Images Removed
14) Larger Virtual Icons
The Virtual Tour Icons have been recreated to include images that better fill-up the 16 x 16 pixel space and improve the visibility of the icons, which indicate the presence of a virtual tour and the type of tour for listings on reports.
