Access By Appointment (ABA) Functionality Now Available

We’re pleased to announce that the long-awaited Access By Appointment (ABA) functionality that SentriLock and ShowingTime have diligently collaborated on in recent months is now available for Realcomp MLS Subscribers (as of the morning of Tuesday, October 6, 2020). This is an additional layer of security that has been requested by Realcomp Subscribers ever since Realcomp’s initial launch of the SentriLock electronic lockboxes in the SE Michigan market.

Specifically, this functionality now allows listing agents to restrict access to their electronic lockboxes based on approved showing appointments only. Showing agents who have obtained approved showing appointments, made through the ShowingTime software, will be able to open the applicable lockboxes on the appropriate date and time.

As mentioned in previous communications, with the launch of the ABA feature, both Call Before Showing (CBS) codes and SentriCard access will be retired as they can no longer be maintained by SentriLock.

Accepting Backup Offers (ABO): The ABO status is utilized when and if your client would like to collect backup offers.

Not adhering to the conditions for using ABO may result in a fine. Realcomp Board of Governors approved a policy change and fine of $50 for any ABO listing that is not available for showings.
