Realcomp’s Realcomp Online^® upgrade (version 2.5.16), installed on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, includes several powerful features designed to greatly reduce the need for you to perform duplicative data entry when creating transactions, using online forms, and uploading new listings to Realcomp!

You now have the ability to …

• Auto-populate an online listing profile form or transaction from the “Transaction Desk – Forms” module (which is the new name – still found under the Agent menu item) after choosing either of the profile form or transaction options. In some cases (when working with transactions), you have the option of being able to “Import data from Realcomp” and choosing either “Realcomp MLS” or “Realcomp PRD” as your data source. You may then enter the appropriate property number (either the MLS number or the PIN number – whichever matches the data source you chose) to access the data for that property. In other cases (when working with online forms), you may search for a desired property first, locate it in PRD, and then auto-populate your form based on that data.
• Submit your new listings to Realcomp through an online profile form. After auto-populating your online listing form, you have the ability to click the Realcomp logo button to upload the data into the MLS. Upon completion of the upload (which will take a few minutes as various fields are validated by the system), you will receive an MLS number for your new listing.

Important Notes:

• When uploading MLS listings to Realcomp through the new online forms features, users no longer need to re-enter, fax or e-mail these listings to Realcomp. The online form upload feature should save you a great deal of time and effort! Agents using this upload function in Transaction Desk must be authorized by their Designated REALTOR (DR) for Listing Load privileges. The DR can update agent privileges at any time by completing Realcomp's Listing Load Privileges Form.
• MLS Subscribers must continue to obtain and provide any data that is required by Realcomp and not available through the auto-population features.
• All MLS participants are able to start a basic transaction on the system to more effectively manage and auto-populate the forms they choose to use with their transactions. This enhancement applies to all MLS Subscribers, not just those who choose to subscribe to full Transaction Management services (when these become available later on this year).
• “Start Transaction” or “Start Listing Input Form” after performing a search and referencing a property contained in the Public Record Database (PRD). These new functions allow you to begin a transaction or a listing form (respectively) and auto-populate these records with several fields of data already stored on Realcomp’s system – saving you time and effort!
• “Start a Transaction” upon referencing any of your listings through the Listing Manager module. This allows you to begin a transaction from any of your existing listings based on the MLS data already stored in Realcomp Online® - again, saving you time and effort!
• Reference and view online documents (i.e. disclosure forms, etc.) that are “attached” to listings. These links are accessible through the MLS summary views, detail views, and manage listings page by selecting “D” or “View Documents” and allow you to view the documents that have been attached to listings for online displays by Transaction Management subscribers. For the time being, only users who choose to subscribe to Transaction Management services will be able to upload and attach documents to listings. (We are currently investigating how to make this service available to all MLS Subscribers without requiring you to subscribe to Transaction Management).

The upgrade also includes a few more improvements connected with the user friendliness of the system, enhanced security, and making communications more accessible to MLS subscribers.

These include …

• Providing you with additional choices for sorting and filtering your listings through the Listing Manager module. Sorting may be performed on the following fields: status, property type, MLS number, street number, street name and listing agent.
• Providing you with a quick and easy option to “email a listing” – now appearing at the top of the Listing Manager detail page.
• Displaying search price search criteria on the screen with “,000” following the data entry fields. This should help to remind users that “thousands, tens, and ones” do not need to be entered when performing a search.
• Enhancing the Listing Manager module to display the number of photos you have uploaded to each of your listings. When one (1) exists, a “P” displays. When more than one exists, the actual number (i.e. 6) of photos displays.
• Tightening system security so when a Realcomp Online® session is idle for more than 30 minutes, users will see the following message: “Your Realcomp Online® Session has timed out”. Clicking “OK” will bring users back to the login screen where subscribers will be able to log back into the MLS with their user ID and password.
• Improving your access to Realcomp news by implementing:
• Banner ad space at the top of the Realcomp Online® announcement page to better communicate the availability of new or improved Realcomp-related products and services.
• Better labeling of the announcements for the day, which can be accessed through the link at the top of the Realcomp Online® homepage.
• Making the “This Week’s News” link more prominent on the homepage by changing the text to red type.
