Lockbox Violations – By Julie Fisher, Customer Care Manager


Fairly regularly, Realcomp’s Customer Care team receives reports of access related violations. Examples include homeowners hearing someone inside their house and finding potential buyers in their living room after being given the lockbox code. We recently received a report of an agent letting potential buyers inside a property and then leaving. We want to thank you for reporting the details and giving us an opportunity to follow-up. Your efforts have resulted in agents being charged with access and lockbox violation fines. More importantly, we believe that your reports are helping to keep properties secure by helping us to continue to get the word out and enforce policies against lockbox and access violations. We recognize the importance of keeping properties secure and we sincerely appreciate all of your details when reporting these.
